Webb14 mars 2003 · It seems like there is a big gap between low C and any notes below it. The low C is in the pedal range on piccolo trumpet. That is, it's below the normal range of the instrument. Don't forget, the picc is half the length and so pitched twice as high. So, yea, that low C is a pain -- and isn't generally written into music for picc.
