Webto scan using the app you bring up the barcode and hold it up to the red light barcode scanner. if you're tapping anything your phone is going to try and submit your payment. AFAIK you need to use the barcode to tell the machine your Sheetz reward number (or if you have the physical card that could also work). But tapping is for payment only.
